How I’m learning to make money online
So far I decided that just reading the blogs of the guys I want to emulate wasn’t enough. I needed some step-by-step so I joined Mark & Court’s TKA or The Keyword Academy for those not familiar.
I went through all the core videos and it is really great stuff. I wish I had had this resource when I first started even trying to do internet marketing but I’m happy as all hell that I have it now. They really teach sound methods for getting your pages ranking well. It does take time and hard work so it’s definitely no get rich quick deal or anything like that but it obviously doesn’t work like that any way. I’ve been listening to the stories of all the guys who are considered “gurus” in internet marketing and while some of them had good first years, they were by no means rich right away.
I think that I probably will stay on because not only is it great info, but it’s affordable and Mark and Court provide regular good stuff in their updates
I am really looking forward to this year and putting some good solid hard work in. I don’t really care about SEO’ing this blog that much at all. Not that I won’t eventually, but I just want to provide a little feedback from time to time about how my endeavors are going and how well or not this stuff is working for me. More like a running journal if you will.
One thing I’ve done already is begun work on my first niche site. I think I can get it in the top results for several keywords and that it could possibly be a $100 a month site eventually. I got the first few pieces of content. Now I just need a couple more and then start building some strong links to it.
Time to get back to work!
Make Money Online or Die Trying
Okay, okay so maybe the subtle reference to 50 Cent was a bit much. In any case though, my mission is exactly this: To make money online that is sustainable and as close to set it and forget it as possible.
I have found some excellent MMO experts recently that really make sense and give you the real deal when it comes to making money on the internet. After being a Frank Kern, Eben Pagan, and John Reese fan for so long but not actually having the time or money to implement their strategies full time, I believe that I will actually have to grind it out with the lesser known gurus strategies in order to have an initial and lasting impact on my bottom line.
This blog is the documentation of my tests, progress, results, and recommendations. I cannot promise that it will be updated often, but when I do I will do my best to provide valuable insight into what makes me money and gets me results and what just flat out doesn’t work. I already know from those who I have learned from that getting wealthy on the internet does not happen fast, it takes a LOT of work, and most people will just flat out not have what it takes to make it happen. Since I do want to transition to making a full time internet income someday, I know I will have to put in the time and get the results the old fashioned way: with a lot of determination and some elbow grease.
The formula here is this: build a great deal of niche websites through various platforms and drive organic traffic to them through search engine optimization (geared primarily towards Google), and then monetize them through various means (Adsense, Clickbank products, Amazon, Ebay, other affiliate products). This method is long and grueling but I have a feeling that after dabbling for so long I will just have to show that I am up to the challenge or forever be ridiculed as a quitter and not even be able to live up to the commitment and discipline that I am such a proponent of.
I don’t have money to play the PPC game at the moment, though I would eventually like to get back to that and master it at some point. I absolutely love the challenge and promised experience that mastering SEO will bring to my repertoire. I am learning from the excellent advice of guys like Grizzly Brears, Court Tuttle, and others who have improved upon their methods.
Making money on the internet will not be easy but I have a feeling that it will be fun in the long run and I can look back on this initial post and appreciate how far my journey has brought me.
p.s. If you are looking for my old posts on this site, sorry to disappoint. My site crashed recently and in my idiocy I did not make a backup. I will be remedying this problem in the future though, so if you interested in learning more about internet marketing, SEO, PPC, listbuilding, and other make money online strategies, please check back here regularly!
